EVERY CHILD
DESERVES A
HOME THAT LIFTS THEM.
Regent Fostering is an independent fostering agency started by a foster carer. We know this life from the inside, so we've built the agency we always wanted: real support, real training and a community that has your back.
Carer-led
WE'VE SAT WHERE YOU SIT.
The late-night phone calls. The school meetings. The first time a child laughs in your kitchen. Our founder has lived all of it as a foster carer, and every decision at Regent starts with one question: would this have helped me?

SIX THINGS WE
WILL ALWAYS DO.
Written by carers, for carers. Hold us to it.
You'll reach a real person who knows your family, day or night.
Training comes before a child arrives, not after.
Your fees and allowances are paid on time, every time.
We share everything we know about a child before you say yes.
Carers have a voice in how Regent is run, through our carer forum.
If something goes wrong, we stand beside you through it.

Questions
ASK US ANYTHING.
Do I need to own my home?
No. Many foster carers rent. You need a stable home and a spare bedroom for a child.
Can I foster if I'm single?
Yes. Single people make wonderful foster carers. What matters is the care, time and stability you can offer.
Can I work and foster?
It depends on the type of fostering and your hours. Some placements need a carer at home full time; others fit around work. We'll talk it through honestly.
Is there an age limit?
There's no upper age limit. Most agencies ask that applicants are at least 21, and what matters is that you're healthy and able to meet a child's needs.
Do I get paid while I'm being assessed?
Fees and allowances start when a child is placed with you. Assessment and training are free.
I already foster. Can I move to Regent?
Yes. Transfers follow the national transfer protocol so children stay settled. Get in touch for a confidential chat.
Our story
BY FOSTER
CARERS. FOR
FOSTER CARERS.
"I started Regent because I knew what good support felt like, and what it felt like when it wasn't there."
Regent's founder is a foster carer himself. Over the years he has seen what makes the difference for children: carers who feel trusted, trained and backed up.
Too often, carers are treated as a resource rather than as professionals and partners. Regent was built to change that. Our carers shape how we work through a carer forum, our staff are recruited for how they treat families, and our caseloads stay small so nobody falls through the gaps.
— Omar, Founder

Transfer questions
WHAT CARERS ASK US.
Will the children in my care have to move?
The aim of the transfer protocol is that children stay with you. The placing authority is involved throughout and agrees the plan.
Will my pay stop during the move?
No. We plan the move so there's no gap in your fees or allowances. We'll show you exactly what you'll receive with Regent before you decide.
How long does a transfer take?
It depends on your circumstances and the agencies involved. We'll give you a realistic timeline at the start and keep you updated.
Is the first conversation confidential?
Yes. We won't contact your current agency or anyone else until you've decided to go ahead.
